Chelsea told to pay £40million for top Antonio Conte target

Radja Nainggolan in Roma action

RADJA NAINGGOLAN will cost Chelsea £40million this summer, according to reports

Nainggolan has been a crucial element of Roma's side this season having appeared in 29 of their 32 Serie A games.
The Belgian has in total racked up 81 league appearances for the Italian side since moving from Cagliari in January 2014.
And the 27-year-old has caught the eye of Antonio Conte who will leave his post as Italy boss after Euro 2016 to take over at Chelsea.
Express Sport understands that along with Roma team-mate Kostas Manolas, Conte has already told his new employers that he wants to bring Nainggolan to Stamford Bridge.
And while the London club are said to have already tabled a £29m bid for the player, Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport claim Roma have told the Blues to match their £40m valuation or they will walk away from the transfer

However, the Mirror have also claimed that Chelsea are also considering offering a swap deal involving Branislav Ivanovic going in the opposite direction to Nainggolan which could drive the price down.
And if Conte does indeed persuade Roman Abramovich to bid for Manolas as well, a double deal for Nainggolan could be another option for Chelsea to negotiate towards.
